You Are Invited !

This is the six year that Westminster is holding its annual Lunar New Year. The focus is to promote the Asian culture and not just China but all Asian groups like Cambodia which is this years focal country.

We expect over 1,500 people to attend this event and it so far each year it has grown and sold out. We have various programs and things to see. We have a kids craft room with various sponsors and about 9 different crafts and 2-3 children's choirs, a Quiet Cafe which has music and a Japanese Tea Ceremony performance hourly. Family portraits, Martial Arts displays, local companies that are mainly non-profit who work within the Asian community helping and raising awareness of issues. We will have Microsoft (CHIME), and McDonalds present special programs and the biggest sponsor is World Vision promoting their work in Cambodia.

We have an Art Walk which holds various artists work and displays work in Caligraphy, painting, origami and ceramics.

Food is everywhere and finger food is served in cute take-out boxes and also contains a mix of foods from Fortune Cookies, Sushi to other cultural menu's.

The Program starts at 7pm and will have Lion Dances, Cambodian dancers, Asian Choirs, Korean, and other groups - it is an event that you don't want to miss !!

$8/Single Ticket and $25/Family Ticket of 6 - under 4 are Free

January 1, 2010 is $10 and $30 - definately worth it. There is no other venue in Seattle esp on the East Side with this amount of attendance and energy.
