Bi-Annual Sorting of the Kids Clothing

Twice a year Spring and Fall I pull all the kids clothing out and re-organize
it takes days - to wks to get this all done. I am sure there is a better way?
I missed this spring so had more work cut out for me this year.
I have taken photo's of the girls stuff first. We are fortunate to have a great
supply of clothes coming from a variety of sources.

So the living room and dining room get taken over and i sort into season and size then we try the clothes on the kids and then re-label and re-store in tupperwares labeled in the garage. This is mostly the boys stuff - but a few of the girls.
This is all the bags and boxes of stuff we have collected this year

after all this then we need to sort the small stuff that does not fit anymore and the kids are too big for. I have one friend who wants her stuff back, then at church there is a consignment sell 2 times a year and the rest goes to Goodwill or friends - so this stuff also takes time to deal with.

My mom tried helping last year and sold some stuff but for all the work she put into it to make $20 - this is the best way to go. There are days i remember just shopping for my 2 kids and giving stuff away. This definitely is less time consuming - but when you have 4 and on a budget this is what you now have to do!

We are very grateful for all the friends and family who have helped us by passing along clothes to our kids - for them it is like going on a major shopping trip twice a year!

I had Calli try everything on when she came home. Then school started and ankles were showing - She grew almost two inches in 4 months. So we sorted again. The a friend has given us three bug garbabge bags FULL of stuff for Calli. She has had try it on and then wash everything days every couple week for a while. I sort the small stuff into fancy (goes to friend from Church Lily) and sporty stuff to cousin LuLu. We always have LuLu and Lily bags going and when they're full, we send it over.
There is still MORE stuff headed our way from this friend who has 3 people feeding her clothes for her daughter.
I wish I could get down to Bi-Annual sorting with Calli, like I do with Acer. What a joy that would be.
