Lest We Forget

I grew up in Canada where everyone wore a poppy on this day as a rememberance. I believe it goes back to the poem which i have saved but can't find.... "where the poppies grow between the crosses row by row"
I had to memorize this poem as a child and when i went to Belgium did see those crosses and found a poppy which i saved.
Today is rememberance day - a day to remember the cost of war and to thank those who gave me and my family a chance at FREEDOM. God Bless you all for your efforts and to those families who lost a special someone Thank you!
I pray my children will grow up with this appreciation knowing our Freedom comes with a cost.
GOD BLESS NORTH AMERICA for the Freedoms we have!!

Wonderful Post! We are remembering in Alaska! My school choir had a great performance and sang patriot songs. They brought in a man that plays taps at military funerals..and you could have heard a pin drop in the elem multipurpose room! HE was great~ God Bless
