It has already been 10 days into our wait for TA (travel). We have been busy ordering visa's, frequent flyer miles and buying remaining stuff. Today a few more got TA at day 16. So we figure we have a good chance of hearing good news next Thursday or Friday.
We are now bring the kids along so that has added another $5-7,000 to the trip. Still trying to work out the bugs and have talked to our bank to get the extra funds.
Work has been busy, which is good. We are starting to wrap up things with the remodeling. Of course we won't have it ready like I would have liked, but at least the bulk of the work is done.
So we have one week to finalize things before full panic sets in. We could be gone by around the 9th of August and we will stay about 3 extra days than our group since Guangzhou seems to take longer to process things for Guangdong province. So looks like we will be gone about 16 days?
